Mission Statement

To help elderly individuals acquire skills to reduce their dependence on medical solutions through training of the elderly in such skills as Tai Chi, yoga, massage, etc.

Purpose of Grant 

To facilitate programs to enable elderly to live healthier lives without being as dependant on medical care and medicines.

Additional Information

Elder Circle helps elderly residents of assisted living and nursing homes reduce their reliance on medical remedies by utilizing massage, yoga, Tai Chi, drawing, etc. In this way, the elderly will become more self sufficient by utilizing their physical and mental faculties and avoiding dependence on doctors and medicine for conditions which can otherwise be addressed without the expense and complexity of the medical system.  

Elder Circle is working with owners of congregate care facilities to introduce these programs to their residences. The use of these "alternative modalities" by the elderly has been the life work of Joseph Wolfberg who is the founder and sustaining force behind Elder Circle.
