2008 (December) Roundtable: "Impact Matters"

Great Bay hosted a Roundtable discussion for grantees and other members of the Great Bay Network at the Wentworth by the Sea Hotel on December 4th, the day prior to its annual conference. The topic was “Impact Matters.”

The topic was chosen to help prepare attendees for Catherine Clarke’s keynote presentation, “Social Impact Assessment: language, process, output/impact indicators, monetization, best practices.” Roundtable guests discussed ways in which they are and/or would like to measure their organizations’ social impact. This was not an exercise in critical analysis but rather designed for information and resource sharing among others dealing with the same challenges regarding impact assessment. Strategies that have worked as well as what was learned from ones that have not, were shared, and attendees came away better equipped to deal with this important issue and ready to articulate their concerns in Catherine Clark's interactive Q & A.
